Seattle Quake and the Larger Rugby Community
Playing rugby means belonging to a local club and also being part of a sports family with global reach. Seattle Quake RFC (Rugby Football Club) is a local rugby club that is part of Pacific Northwest Rugby. Pacific Northwest Rugby operates under USA Rugby with World Rugby as the global parent. Seattle Quake RFC is also a full member of International Gay Rugby.

International Gay Rugby (IGR):
International Gay Rugby (IGR) is a rapidly growing, ever-passionate, rugby family that today reaches all four corners of the globe and plays a huge part in thousands of players and supporters’ lives. IGR was founded in October 2000 by a small group of Inclusive Rugby Clubs and, decades later, IGR continues to provide opportunities for members of the LGBTQ+ community to enjoy competitive rugby whilst improving respect and tolerance for people of all gender identities and sexualities worldwide…. To grow inclusive rugby and achieve equality, diversity and personal development in sport.

Seattle Quake RFC participates in the Bingham Cup and NORAM Cup IGR tournaments.

PNW Rugby is the governing body for senior club rugby in the Pacific Northwest overseeing Idaho, Oregon, and Washington.
USA Rugby oversees four national teams, multiple Junior National Teams and an emerging Olympic development pathway for elite athletes.USA Rugby is governed by a 11 member Board of Directors, National Councils representing the membership and a professional staff headed by a CEO.
